I bought the footpeg lowering brackets but I cannot get the Shift lever low enought on the T7 to get the lever where it needs to be so it is hard to shift with boots on. I would like to see a lowered shift lever or a lever like the adjustable one that is also adjustable for hight as well as length. like if you could turn the tip down and lock it into place that may work also without having to have a completely different shift lever.
I understand your problem. I'm 6'-5", and also got the footpeg lowering mounts AND the shift lever. My problem is that the ball joint on the lever hits the footpeg bracket when the lever is adjusted down to where I need it. You CAN adjust the lever down in one or two ways. The shift shaft arm can be removed and rotated on it's splines, and then fine adjustments can be done by loosening both jam nuts on the threaded rod between the shift lever and the shift arm going into the tranny. The lower threads are LH, and the upper are RH.
Mine was doing the same thing, rotating the shaft helped a bit.
