Recently we have produced a lot of new high performance YFZ450 & YFZ450R Parts, so today, we will take a closer look at the Yamaha YZF450R and YZF450, exploring their features, specifications, and what makes them different.

The Yamaha YFZ450R and YFZ450 are both high-performance ATV models designed for off-road riding and racing. While they share some similarities, there are also some notable differences between the two models. Here's a comparison of the Yamaha YFZ450R vs. YFZ450:

Engine: Both the YFZ450R and YFZ450 are equipped with a 449cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine, but the YFZ450R has an upgraded fuel injection system that provides better performance and throttle response.

Suspension: The YFZ450R has a more advanced suspension system with independent double wishbone front suspension and a rear swingarm suspension with a fully adjustable shock. The YFZ450, on the other hand, has a less advanced suspension system with a single shock rear suspension and a dual A-arm front suspension.

Chassis: The YFZ450R has a lightweight aluminum frame and body design, which provides better handling and maneuverability on the track or trail. The YFZ450 has a steel frame that is slightly heavier than the YFZ450R.

Brakes: Both models have hydraulic disc brakes, but the YFZ450R has larger brakes and better stopping power.

Price: The YFZ450R is more expensive than the YFZ450 due to its more advanced features and upgrades.

Riding experience: The YFZ450R is designed for experienced riders who want to compete in off-road racing or ride on challenging terrain. The YFZ450 is more suited for casual riders who want to enjoy off-road riding without pushing the limits.

The pros and cons of the 2019 Yamaha YFZ450R:

The yfz450r model is better in many ways. The Yamaha YFZ450R with a width of approximately 50.0 inches, has EFI fuel management and features four-position adjustable handlebars, which allows riders to customize the handlebar position according to their preferences and riding style. The handlebars can be adjusted to provide a more comfortable and ergonomic riding position, as well as to optimize control and maneuverability in different riding conditions.
The seat is not T-shaped, but it is positioned low and forward on the ATV, which helps to enhance the rider's control and balance while riding. Additionally, the seat is covered with a slip-resistant material to help the rider maintain a secure grip while riding over rough terrain.

The Cons of YFZ450R are that it is not designed for recreational riding, it is designed as a high-performance sport ATV, which is better for competitive racing and off-road riding.

The pros and cons of the 2006 Yamaha YFZ450:

The 2006 Yamaha YFZ450 actually has a lot of pros. It has a powerful engine with a high-performance 449cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine that delivers excellent power and acceleration. A lightweight and nimble chassis design that makes it highly maneuverable and easy to handle on the track or trail. The suspension is still fully adjustable as yfz450r. The rear swingarm adopts a cam-style chain adjustment.
But the Yamaha YFZ450 model year 2006 did not come with fuel injection. Instead, the Keihin FCR carburetor needs to be manually adjusted for airflow changes (elevation, exhaust, filter, airbox mods, etc…) by adjusting the main and pilot jets, plus the needle.
