NICECNC Manual Cam Chain Tensioner -- Designed for high-performance engines, this manual cam chain tensioner replaces the Original automatic or hydraulic tensioner, providing greater control and more consistent cam chain tension.

Features:

  • Eliminates Automatic Tensioner Issues - The Original automatic tensioners may momentarily retract during sudden deceleration from high RPM, potentially causing cam timing to shift. In severe cases, this can result in bent valves or engine damage.
  • Prevents Excessive Hydraulic Tension - Hydraulic tensioners can apply excessive force to the cam chain guide under high RPM and oil pressure, accelerating wear on the chain and guide.
  • Constant & Adjustable Chain Tension - Unlike automatic systems, the manual tensioner is unaffected by engine speed or oil pressure, maintaining consistent chain tension for aggressive riding, racing, and performance applications.
  • Built-in O-ring - Provides a good seal, preventing maintenance issues caused by oil leakage and offering greater peace of mind.
  • Precision CNC Construction - Precision CNC-machined from billet aluminum and stainless steel for exceptional strength, accuracy, and perfer fit.

Installation Instructions:
Reuse the original OEM brass washer.
Install the OEM brass washer onto the new black insert.
Slide the assembly into the engine, thread it in by hand until seated, then tighten the body with a 17 mm wrench.
Using a 6 mm Allen wrench, turn the stainless steel adjuster bolt clockwise until it makes contact with the cam chain guide.
From this point, turn the adjuster an additional 1/2 turn to achieve the correct chain tension.
Install and tighten the 13 mm lock nut.
Built-in O-ring is included to ensure a proper oil-tight seal.

Adjustment & Maintenance (Important)

  • The manual cam chain tensioner must be adjusted to the correct tension.
  • Incorrect adjustment may result in serious engine damage.
  • If you are not experienced with engine maintenance, professional installation is strongly recommended.
  • Check and readjust the cam chain tension every 6–8 riding hours or during each regular maintenance interval
